World Chess Championship
Here is my fearless prediction of who will win the world chess championship being conducted in argentina. This year, it is my belief that the winner will be Veselin Topalov.

The sentimental choice would have to be Anand. In truth, my heart goes out for him. He's the most consistent, the highest rated, the "tiger" of madras so to speak. But..I dont know. There seems to be something missing. I cant explain, but when I read his interviews, and see pictures of him, I dont get that feeling that tells you- "Now there's a champion". Maybe he's just too nice.. I dont know..

Anyway, good old Topalov is my current favorite. Because it seems to me that while Anand is the one called tiger, Topalov is the one who actually has the "Eye of the tiger". And he will eat and devour his enemies.. Ahahahahaha!!!!!!!

Topalov as supreme ruler of the world!!!!! All hail topalov!!!!

yeah, the supreme ruler of the chess world Topalov is showing the world his righteous wrath.

"Young fool. Only now you see. Only now you understand."
    - Topalov to Polgar right before he sends her to oblivion...

If he manages to win at least two more games. The title is secure. But, we all know that it is already dont we..

He has been really impressive to watch.
    Go Topa!
I think he'd make a great World Champion and I don't think he run and hide with the title ala Kramnik.

    You still in Japan?

just got back.. *sigh* really will miss japan..

You know, if he manages to win this tournament with this style of play, His name may live on forever in chess history.

For example - Pillsbury. He never was world champion, but he put a successive string of strong performances that today, 100 years later, all serious chesplayers know his name.

Topalov has a chance of having the same acclaim. His series of strong performance, leading to winning this tournament - is what separates him from other FIDE champions(?) like khalifman and ponomariov.

Names of one-hit wonders fade. But someone who dominates for a least a year remains.
